VMS for Sparsh Cameras — Cloud, Multi-Brand & AI-Ready

Tentovision is a cloud-based VMS for Sparsh cameras that works over ONVIF and RTSP — adding cloud recording, AI analytics, and multi-brand support so you can manage your BIS-certified Sparsh cameras alongside legacy Hikvision and Dahua cameras on one platform. Sparsh cameras are built for Indian enterprise and government compliance; Tentovision gives them the cloud, multi-site, and AI capabilities that a basic local viewer can't — with cloud, on-premise, and hybrid deployment to match your data-residency needs.

Why a capable VMS

Why Sparsh cameras need a capable third-party VMS

Sparsh is India's flagship BIS/STQC-certified surveillance brand, and it does provide software — SVMS, a desktop tool for up to 64 cameras, plus a free mobile app — and its cameras are officially integrated with Genetec Security Center. The question isn't whether any software exists; it's whether the available options fit a modern, multi-site, cost-conscious Indian operation.

🗂️

The available options leave a real gap

SVMS is a local desktop tool with a 64-camera ceiling, single-brand scope, and no enterprise cloud. Genetec is powerful but a premium, per-camera-licensed, on-premise platform — a heavy lift for many organisations. That leaves no affordable, cloud-native, multi-brand, AI-capable option for Sparsh.

Tentovision fills the middle: cloud, multi-site, and AI over ONVIF/RTSP — affordable and brand-agnostic.
🧩

Sparsh rarely lives alone

BIS migration happens in phases. New sites get Sparsh; older sites keep working Hikvision and Dahua cameras until they fail. Most enterprises end up running three or four brands at once — and managing each with its own software is an operational and security headache.

Tentovision unifies them: Sparsh, CP Plus, Hikvision, and Dahua on one dashboard, one login, one health-monitoring system.
Multi-brand management

Managing Sparsh alongside legacy Hikvision and Dahua cameras

This is the situation almost every Sparsh adopter is actually in. Manage it with each brand's own software and you're running SVMS for Sparsh, iVMS-4200 for Hikvision, SmartPSS for Dahua, and KVMS Pro for CP Plus — separate logins, no unified view, no single health-monitoring system.

What Tentovision provides for your Sparsh cameras

The full enterprise feature set, regardless of which brands sit underneath:

  • Centralised live view
  • Cloud recording
  • Local recording
  • Playback & search
  • Camera health monitoring
  • AI analytics
  • Multi-site management
  • Mobile & browser access
  • Role-based permissions
  • Secure remote access

One dashboard · every brand

All managed in one login, one view — plus any ONVIF/RTSP camera.
Sparsh cloud storage

Add cloud storage to your Sparsh cameras — no NVR replacement

The Tentovision Cloud Adapter connects to your existing Sparsh cameras over ONVIF/RTSP and records them to the cloud — no rip-and-replace, and no need to change your recorder.

  • AES-256 encrypted, Microsoft Azure-hosted cloud recording
  • Flexible retention to match compliance and evidentiary needs
  • Onboard SSD buffers footage when the connection drops, then auto-uploads
  • BIS-certified Sparsh cameras + Indian-built Tentovision VMS = an aligned compliance chain
  • Continuous or motion/event-based cloud recording, set per Sparsh camera

Keep your hardware and your management layer aligned with Indian procurement expectations. The Cloud Adapter sends the camera sub-stream to the cloud while the main stream continues recording locally, so upload bandwidth stays predictable across a multi-site deployment.

Remote access

Access your Sparsh cameras remotely — from any browser or mobile

Tentovision gives your Sparsh cameras secure remote access without the port forwarding that basic mobile apps rely on. The connection is outbound and secure — initiated from inside your network, so no inbound ports are exposed.

  • No port forwarding — secure outbound connection only
  • WebRTC low-latency live streaming in any browser or the mobile app (~0.5s latency)
  • Multi-site dashboard across every location and brand
  • Role-based access permissions per user and site
  • Full audit trail of who viewed what and when

For a government or enterprise operator running Sparsh across multiple sites, that unified, permissioned view is what turns scattered cameras into a managed system. Mobile push alerts replace the basic SVMS/mobile-app polling model, so a motion or line-crossing event on a Sparsh camera reaches the right person in seconds.

Setup guide

How to connect Sparsh cameras to Tentovision (RTSP & ONVIF setup)

Sparsh sources cameras from multiple manufacturers, so the RTSP URL format can vary by model. The steps below cover the common formats and how to identify which applies; ONVIF auto-discovery avoids the guesswork in most cases.

  1. Find the Sparsh camera IP address

Check the label on the camera, scan the network with an IP utility, or read the DHCP table in your router.

  2. Enable ONVIF

Log in to the camera's web interface, go to the Network settings, and enable the ONVIF protocol. Sparsh cameras are ONVIF-conformant — the same conformance behind their official Genetec integration — so discovery is generally reliable.

  3. Note the RTSP URL — try these formats in order

Because Sparsh models use firmware derived from different established platforms, the correct path depends on your specific model:

    // Format A — Hikvision-style firmware rtsp://username:password@IP:554/Streaming/Channels/101 // Format B — Dahua-style firmware rtsp://username:password@IP:554/cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0 // Format C — generic ONVIF rtsp://username:password@IP:554/stream1

If one format doesn't return video, try the next. ONVIF auto-discovery (Step 6) usually resolves the path automatically.

  4. Connect the Cloud Adapter

Plug the Tentovision Cloud Adapter into the same network switch as your Sparsh cameras. Power it on — a single blue LED indicates network connectivity.

  5. Pair the adapter

Scan the QR code on the adapter with the Tentovision app to register it to your account. Pairing typically completes in under 60 seconds.

  6. Add cameras

Use ONVIF auto-discovery (recommended) to pull cameras in automatically, or enter the RTSP URL manually using the format that matches your model. Bulk-add supports CSV import for sites with 50+ cameras.

  7. Verify the live feed

Confirm each live feed appears in the Tentovision dashboard, then set recording mode (continuous, motion, or hybrid) and cloud retention per camera.

📷 Compatible Sparsh cameras

Tentovision supports all Sparsh IP cameras that are ONVIF-compliant or provide RTSP access — which covers the current Sparsh range. The same applies to any Sparsh NVR with an RTSP/ONVIF interface.

⚠ Troubleshooting
  • "RTSP not working" — try all three formats above; check your Sparsh model's firmware documentation for the exact path.
  • "ONVIF not discovering" — confirm ONVIF is enabled in the camera's Network settings; some Sparsh models may need a firmware update for ONVIF support.
  • "Which firmware does my Sparsh camera use?" — look at the camera web interface: if it resembles Hikvision's UI, use Format A; if it resembles Dahua's, use Format B; otherwise try Format C.
Deployment

Deploy Tentovision with your Sparsh cameras — cloud, on-premise, or hybrid

Tentovision runs your Sparsh cameras three ways, so deployment matches the site and the compliance requirement rather than forcing a single model.

☁️

Cloud

Cloud Adapter + cloud storage

The Cloud Adapter streams your Sparsh cameras to Microsoft Azure, with nothing on site to maintain beyond the adapter. Subscription-based, with no recorder required.

Best for: sites wanting minimal hardware and quick rollout.
🖥️

On-Premise

Local edge device + local SSD

A local edge device keeps all video inside the building, which suits data-localisation and government requirements. Runs without internet; the edge device handles management and analytics on premises.

Best for: sensitive or sovereign deployments with data-residency rules.
🔀

Hybrid

Local recording + cloud backup

Local recording for instant playback plus cloud backup for offsite resilience — the natural fit for a multi-site Sparsh + legacy estate.

Best for: multi-site operations balancing performance and protection.

The throughline is compliance: BIS-certified Sparsh cameras plus an Indian-built Tentovision VMS make for a fully aligned surveillance stack — manageable together with full multi-site CCTV monitoring.

AI analytics

20+ AI analytics on your existing Sparsh cameras

Your Sparsh cameras capture the video — Tentovision adds the intelligence, with no camera replacement and no on-site GPU hardware. Processing runs in the cloud for cloud and hybrid deployments, or on the edge device where footage must stay on site. The same analytics run across your legacy Hikvision and Dahua cameras too, so intelligence isn't limited to one brand in a mixed post-BIS estate.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions about Tentovision + Sparsh

Sparsh provides SVMS, a free desktop tool for basic local management of up to 64 cameras, plus a free mobile app — fine for a single site. For cloud recording, AI analytics, multi-site management, and managing Sparsh alongside other brands, Tentovision is a paid cloud VMS that goes well beyond what the free Sparsh tools cover, on a subscription or perpetual model.
Yes. SVMS manages Sparsh hardware only, but Tentovision is brand-agnostic and ingests Sparsh, Hikvision, Dahua, and CP Plus cameras into one dashboard over ONVIF/RTSP. This is the common post-BIS situation, where new Sparsh cameras run alongside legacy Hikvision and Dahua units.
Because Sparsh sources cameras from multiple OEMs, the RTSP path varies by model — common formats are the Hikvision-style /Streaming/Channels/101, the Dahua-style /cam/realmonitor?channel=1&subtype=0, and the generic /stream1, all on port 554. ONVIF auto-discovery in Tentovision avoids needing to know the exact path; confirm the format against your specific Sparsh model's firmware.
Tentovision supports all Sparsh IP cameras that are ONVIF-compliant or expose an RTSP stream, which covers the current Sparsh range. Sparsh's ONVIF conformance — the same standard behind its Genetec integration — is what lets Tentovision discover and connect to the cameras regardless of the underlying firmware.
BIS/STQC certification applies to the camera hardware you deploy, such as Sparsh, rather than to management software. Tentovision supports your compliance posture by managing BIS-certified Sparsh cameras — and your legacy cameras — with on-premise and hybrid options for data-localisation requirements.
Yes. The Tentovision Cloud Adapter connects to your Sparsh cameras or recorder over ONVIF/RTSP and mirrors the footage to encrypted cloud storage, leaving any local recording intact. There's no rip-and-replace — you add an offsite cloud copy on top of what you already run.
