How It Works
What Is CCTV Cloud Storage and How Does It Work?
CCTV cloud storage is a service that automatically uploads your security camera footage to remote, encrypted servers via the internet. Unlike a DVR or NVR that stores recordings on a physical hard drive in your premises, cloud storage keeps your footage safe on external servers — meaning it is protected even if your camera, recorder, or entire property is compromised.
Tentosoft supports 2MP, 4MP, and 8MP IP cameras across two recording modes: Motion (M) recording, which captures footage only when movement is detected, and continuous 24×7 recording. You choose the resolution, recording mode, and how many days of footage to retain — from 7 days up to 730 days.
For markets with variable broadband speeds, Motion recording mode reduces bandwidth consumption by up to 60% compared to continuous streaming — making cloud CCTV practical even on standard 4G or 10 Mbps connections.
Motion recording (M)
Records only on detected movement. Lower cost. Bandwidth-efficient.
24×7 continuous
Never stops recording. Best for warehouses, banks, high-security sites.
Works offline
Local edge buffering during outages. Auto-syncs when internet returns.
